Oral health is vital to your overall health.

The first step towards feeling confident and comfortable about every aspect of your smile is knowing how to properly maintain it. By catching problems at their earliest stages and caring for them effectively, you can minimize the oral damage and discomfort you may face over time. We provide several preventive services that are designed to accurately diagnose concerns, add needed protection, and stop many issues before they even begin.

General Dentistry

The diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of common oral health problems such as tooth decay and gum disease is the perfect way to ensure that you can chew, talk, and smile for a lifetime. Regular dental exams and professional tooth cleanings once every six months will allow our team to identify and address minor dental problems before they can become complicated.

Cleanings

Cleanings

Every 3-6 months, a visit to our dental hygienist is recommended to remove tartar buildup that causes inflammation and ensure good oral health. During the hygiene visit we will measure the bone level around each tooth and any recession areas present. X-rays will be taken once per year to  help the dentist diagnose any issues during the exam. Maintaining regularly scheduled cleanings not only helps with oral health but also helps with overall health.

Fillings

fillings

Dental fillings are used to help replace tooth structure that has been lost to decay or fractured off. Dental materials continue to improve and now we are able to shade match and bond composite fillings that are both strong and in most cases nearly invisible.

crowns & bridges

crowns & Bridges

A crown can restore structure, strength and function to a tooth with extensive decay or damage. They are used to cover cracked, chipped, or otherwise damaged teeth that can not be ideally restored with a large filling. Crowns are custom fabricated to provide a strong and in most cases natural looking restoration. Gold is still a fantastic and in some cases the ideal dental material but, today there are a variety of strong beautiful ceramic materials that are available.

Dental Implants

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a predictable long-term solution that results in a healthy, natural looking, and natural feeling smile. They don’t come out and more importantly they don’t affect the teeth next to them. Dental implants can also be used to add extra retention to dentures or replace multiple teeth at once.

dentures

Dentures can give you back the ability to chew and smile if you have been struggling with multiple broken or missing teeth. Dentures and partial dentures replace either all or some of your upper/ lower teeth with one appliance. Every denture takes some getting used to. However, our team has been fabricating and adjusting dentures for years. We will work with a lab to help you get a beautiful set of dentures that can give you your life back and allow you to engage in normal daily activities.

Over time our bodies and mouths change. If you have an old set of dentures that don’t fit as well as they used to, we have the ability to do a ‘reline’ that will make it fit better. Additionally dentures can be made more stable by incorporating dental implants to help them stay fixed in place.

extractions

extractions

Unfortunately, there are numerous situations in which an extraction (pulling a tooth) is necessary. In some cases a tooth may be damaged beyond where it can be predictably restored or the bone around the tooth may have been lost. Although this is unfortunate it is important to identify these issues and prevent further problems including pain, swelling, and infection.

Before a tooth is extracted we will discuss if you wish to replace it and options for doing it. This commonly includes options such as dental implants, bridges, or dentures.

root canal

root canal

Root canal therapy (endodontics) is necessary when a tooth has died and or become infected.  Although the word “root canal” often elicits negative emotions, they are in many cases the best way to get relief from a painful toothache.

However, not every toothache requires root canal treatment so it is our job to diagnose the cause of your discomfort before any procedure is done. Once a diagnosis is made we will either perform the procedure in the office or make a referral to a specialist (endodontist) based on the difficulty of the particular tooth. After Root canal treatment it is often necessary to place a crown on top of the tooth to provide strength.

cosmetic dentistry

cosmetic dentisitry

To the best of our ability everything we do is cosmetic. Our hygienists work hard to keep your gums healthy and Dr. Romine strives to create beautiful fillings, implants, crowns and dentures everyday.

However, true “cosmetic dentistry” is a set of elective procedures to help you have a more attractive smile. Depending on the case this can include crowns, veneers, tooth whitening, and working with an orthodontist to create a more ideal positioning of the teeth.

Enjoy a happy, healthy smile for life.
